Hexagon helps construction companies "Make Tech Matter" in Dallas-Fort Worth

Dallas, TX – February 21, 2024 – Hexagon, the global leader in digital reality solutions combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies, launched a comprehensive new digital construction solutions portfolio in Dallas, Fort Worth. Hexagon executives, portfolio brand partners and local DFW customers gathered on February 13 to mark the unveiling of Hexagon’s comprehensive workflows for building data capture and analysis in the metroplex.

These workflows offer construction customers 24/7 remote access to job site digital renderings and data, with visual progress and building progress verification that will cut down on often time-consuming project reporting.

The event kicked off with an overview of the new workflow solutions, followed by testimonials from local customers who already leverage Hexagon’s integrated workflows.

Executives and experts from Hexagon’s construction portfolio brands addressed questions surrounding the implementation and benefits of Hexagon’s new workflows.

Key highlights from the event include:

• The “Make Tech Matter” initiative: The event showcased Hexagon's commitment to help construction companies make the most of their technology investments by offering tailored solutions that “meet customers where they are,” ensuring the right fit for a project’s specific needs, budgets, and more.
   
• Demonstrating flexibility and effectiveness in real-world Dallas projects: Hexagon’s integrated brands are being utilized in various construction projects across Dallas, from large-scale developments like the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to other local construction initiatives. The application breadth underscores the adaptability and versatility of Hexagon’s solutions.

"We've been engaged in several upcoming projects at DFW Airport, including the construction of an electrical vault by the runway," said Kyle Wahlberg, general manager of sales and operations at Multivista, part of Hexagon. "We are about three months into this project and could already show the added value of our integrated solutions. • Focus on risk management and workplace safety: The Visual Progress workflow incorporates risk management and workplace safety elements, providing real-time insights into construction progress and potential hazards. This ensures a safer working environment and minimizes project risks. "Utilizing intuitive visualizations, our solutions provide actionable insights through intuitive data visualizations to enable our customers to pinpoint safety and security risks within the scope of their visual progress component,” said Dave Magnusson, vice president of sales at Hexagon.
   
• Enhanced project accountability standards: The As-Built workflow offers progress tracking and transparency, leading to a shift in project accountability standards across DFW clientele. This fosters greater accountability and trust between project stakeholders. “We want to ensure quality is kept to the highest standard possible throughout the entire project lifecycle,” said Joe Brothers, chief sales officer of OxBlue, part of Hexagon. “It will give incredible visibility to any type of quality issues or concerns and will ultimately produce an outcome that’s more precise and accurate than any type of manual efforts.”
   
• Enhanced progress reporting standards: The Progress Reporting workflow transforms reporting standards by providing comprehensive and transparent progress reports. This empowers customers to make informed decisions and fosters collaboration between stakeholders.
  
  “This takes a lot of that manual effort out of the equation and also produces reports that are far more accurate than what you get from a manual progress tracking report,” said Magnusson.
